I promise you that you are going to screw up.
Let me explain.
When you finally take that jump and start homesteading… Or maybe you already started and you get your first livestock… or plant your first crop….
Point is, when you decide to do something new, you are going to make mistakes.
How do I know? Because I am constantly diving in the deep end of new hobbies, business ventures, etc… and I make mistakes all the time.
This month we started a totally new adventure on the Homestead. We began an aquaponics project. In the first few weeks, I have bought the wrong equipment, fish, broke the system, moved the system, killed plants, killed fish…
It has been quite the learning curve.
But that is ok. When you do something new, you make mistakes. Don’t let that hold you back from trying new things.
If you are not that interested in Aquaponics, I still suggest you watch this series, because you will see me make a TON of mistakes, which will make you feel better next time you do screw something up!

Is It “Woman’s Work?”
Who does more physical labor on the homestead? On our homestead, that changes season to season. In this video we talk about how we share our workload on the homestead, and why a lot of times my wife does WAY MORE PHYSICAL WORK than me on our farm…
DOES SLOW FOOD MEAN SLOW MONEY?
Next week another episode of the podcast comes out, and in it we discuss one way to get around the problem of making money slowly on the farm. We share a snippet of that upcoming podcast episode in this video.
Enjoy your weekend on your Homestead!
