A few months ago we installed the Brinsea Chick Save Eco, an automatic chicken coop door opener and closer, and I LOVE IT!
The opener unit is pretty much plug and play. 2 screws mount the unit to your barn or coop, and a set of batteries fire the unit up.
No wires, no complicated install. (NOTE… we had to retrofit our barn to fit the Brinsea door kit, and that was a bit more complicated of an install, but nothing too bad. )
The best part about the Chick Safe Eco is that there is ZERO programming necessary to get it running. The unit detects sunlight, and opens and closes your coop door according to the sunrise and sunset! AWESOME!
