We raised 8 Pekin ducks this year to put in the freezer for special meals for our family. Today is butcher day, and we will process all the ducks in one afternoon.

In this video, we use killing cones and mora kives to kill the ducks. Then we remove the feathers with the help of paraffin wax we bought a Michaels craft store. The wax helps remove the smaller feathers.

The ducks fat is worth as much as the meat. Study French chefs methods of canning duck in canning jars. My European family upbringing on a farm taught me alot about quality products.
Also, use boiling water to reclaim your wax. You’ll have gained back the down and wax, which will last for years just add a small amount every poultry clean. We did as many as 200 on a weekend. But we had an ice machine and freezers.

This is the first time I so an animal being butcher since I took the desicion to stop eating meat.
I cried and was impacted because of the innocence of the animal,how you covered his eyes and let him calm down and get used to the instrument it would get executed with then you showed the blood and I calmed down, because now I realize like God has said, that the soul is in the blood of the animal and belongs to good so it shall go the ground. And I know realize how good He is, that we shall no longer fear death like His son Jesus did, for our soul is His, and He has resurrected His only son and if we believe in Him we can also live when He comes back to stablish His kingdom of rightteousness on earth.
