What tools do you need for a homestead?
Today we discuss the first tools you will want to purchase for your homestead and when to buy them.
Over at Our Youtube Channel Evie Tancredo asked:
#askhomesteady can you do a video on setting up a homestead shop/building space from scratch? Like tools and such that you suggest every homesteader have on hand? That would be very helpful.
Sure thing Evie! A new homesteader will have a lot of building projects, repairs, and DIY weekends that will require a good set of tools. Tools can get expensive fast, so I tried to compile a list of the first 10 tools every homesteader should have to help you keep it simple in the beginning…
Tools get expensive fast, so don’t think you need to go out an purchase all these tools day 1. I have them listed in order of when we purchased them, to help you figure out what to buy first and so on…

The workshop space
First for a shop building space you need a clean well lit space, with electric, good ventilation, large doors and easy access to outside. This will help you make sure your building in a safe, streamlined workspace.
If you have a space that is NOT well lit pick up a set of Halogen lights $40 to brighten things up without having to hire an electrician.
