When you raise animals for meat, or hunt them in the wild, you need to be able to process them yourself. Processing your own meat can save you money, and get you a better product.
Better product for less money? That is a win win!
In a recent video we shared with you how to grind your own burger meat.
When I am processing deer at deer camp every year, I use a LEM Big Bite Grinder to make all my burger meat.
The LEM Big Bite comes in a few different sizes and price points. I prefer the #22 1 HP model.
I always grind my burger 2 times through, and that second grind is where the added HP really helps speed up the process. I also like to grind multiple deer at once. However, if your budget limits you, a half HP or .75 HP Model would work too.
The nicest part about the LEM Big Bite is that it works along with the LEM Meat Packaging System! The Meat Packaging System is super simple to use, makes packaging ground meat quick and easy. In almost 10 years of Butchering my own deer, I have used no quicker, easier solution to package meat with, and the best part is the Meat Packaging system is only $30!
