A few days in to our strategic relocation plans, and we have become overwhelmed by the amount of things we need to figure out and plan. Not just choosing states, but how to sell our home, what to buy, should we rent to feel out an area… The list goes on.
A recent episode of Homesteady has helped us sort our ideas.
In the episode, Dream Farm, The Suburban Escapee talks about breaking your dreams into “micro movements”. Small doable steps that, when completed, make you feel great, and make you believe you can do it all.
We decided our move is made of 4 stages.
Stage one: Buy a Camper.
Airstream, pop out, RV, were not sure yet. But something that will allow us to sell our house, then move into and test out our future prospects… Spy out the land!
Stage two: Sell our Farm.
Were going to want to sell the farm before we buy our new home. We never want to own 2 properties at once. TOO SCARY!
Stage three: Try before we buy.
With our RV, we will go visit our top 2 or 3 states, and decide what feels best for our family.
Stage 4: Buy and Move in.
Thats the most self explanatory.
